Customs value usually begins with the price paid and adds includable costs up to the UK border.
This calculator assumes Method 1 transaction value. It adds separately identified freight and insurance to the UK border and other customs-value additions.
UK inland transport beyond the border is excluded when it is separately identified. Other valuation methods, assists, royalties, related-party adjustments and special procedures need case-specific review.
