Cookies and Analytics
Optional analytics are off by default. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity are not requested or initialised until you choose “Accept analytics”. Rejecting analytics leaves both services unloaded.

Your consent choice
The site uses basic consent mode. When you accept, Google receives default-denied consent states before an update granting analytics_storage. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain denied. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled. Clarity receives analytics storage permission while advertising storage remains denied.
Your choice is stored locally as uk-import-calculator.analytics-consent.v1, containing only accepted or rejected. It remains until you change it, clear this site’s browser storage or use a browser mode that discards local storage.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate page use and whether key calculator actions work. We send manual page views for pathname changes only. The page location is the site origin plus pathname; query parameters and URL hashes are excluded. Automatic page views are disabled.
The only custom event names sent by this site are:

These events contain no monetary values, commodity codes, product descriptions, search text, form values, session IDs, shareable links or personal information. Google may also receive standard technical data associated with its service, such as device/browser information, approximate location and pseudonymous identifiers.

Microsoft Clarity
Clarity provides aggregated interaction analytics, heatmaps and session recordings after consent. It can record clicks, scrolling, layout and page interaction. Input and select values are masked by Clarity, and this site also explicitly masks calculator, commodity-result and saved-result surfaces so their displayed inputs and results are not uploaded as readable recording content.
With analytics storage granted, Clarity may set first-party cookies including _clck, which maintains a pseudonymous Clarity user and preferences, and _clsk, which links page views into a session recording. Microsoft documents additional third-party cookies that can be involved in its service; advertising storage is denied by this site’s consent signal.

Change or withdraw consent
Select “Cookie settings” in the footer on any page. Choosing Reject after previously accepting sends denied consent signals, disables future Google Analytics collection, asks Clarity to erase its cookies and prevent further tracking, removes the analytics script elements and attempts to expire first-party analytics cookies. Clearing browser storage may cause the consent banner to appear again.
